Hampshire Woods Riding School
Our goal at Hampshire Woods Farm is to provide a safe, supervised environment for you or your child to learn the fundamentals of horse care and riding.
Once a rider has mastered the basics, they will be given the opportunity to move up onto more challenging horses to test and further develop their skill as riders.
Should they decide they want to test their skill further, we will help them find horses to lease, and help prepare them for local competitions; and should they be so lucky as to one day be able to own their own horse, we always have a number of show-quality horses for sale in our own barn.

Beginner Package:
Includes six one-hour lessons during which the student spends half an hour learning to groom, tack up, and care for the horse, and the other half hour is spent riding.
The first one or two lessons are usually on a lunge line so that the instructor has full control of the horse while the student learns their balance.
The intention of the Beginner Lessons is to create a good foundation of basics for new riders so that they can move into group lessons as soon as the trainer thinks they are ready.
Price: $190.80
Please Note:
Monthly rates are based on a calendar year which averages 4.3 once-weekly lessons per month.
There is a discount for those who ride more than once per week.
All lesson times (with the exception of Beginner Package lessons) are booked on the assumption that riders are capable of tacking up their own horse and being ready to mount up at their assigned time. If riders are still in need of some help, arrangements can be made. Parents can be a big help!
